Sometimes the most favoured closet stems from hierarchy—the pieces defined by rarity, celebrity influence, or the heritage of university and school attire. COLLEGE DROPOUT personifies this idea. Pulled straight from the visual language of films like Gus Van Sant’s Elephant, we take the familiar codes of youth attire and disrupt them through the addition of military-inspired pieces. Our Beams jacket, with its leather sleeves and paneled white detailing, creates a sharp contrast against the ripstop Balenciaga cargo pants.The functionality of these pieces are endless, coming together to create the perfect post-apocalyptic uniform. Finished with the Balenciaga Stomper boots, the look exists somewhere between institutional, utilitarian, and completely detached from convention.
